Questions when using the service
What are the roles of simultaneous display control and display priority?
On CODE Marketing cloud, only a single creative is displayed according to a display priority level to prevent multiple creatives from being displayed and overlapping.
On CODE Marketing cloud, only a single creative is displayed according to a display priority level to prevent multiple creatives from being displayed and overlapping.

Display priority control is conducted according to creative combinations in the same onscreen position.
If two creatives are set to different positions on the same screen, they are both displayed.
How creative display is determined based on display priority
This description uses an example where a center screen display position is specified for campaigns 1 to 4.
- Campaign 1: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Scroll amount
- Campaign 2: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Out operation
- Creative B: Display position: lower tier right/display condition: Out operation
- Campaign 3: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Immediately
- Creative B: Display position: None
- Campaign 4: Display priority 10
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Immediately
First conduct an AB test candidate selection in the campaign
When an AB test is conducted in the campaign, which creative is set as a display candidate first is selected in the campaign. This section uses the following selections.
- Campaign 1: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Scroll amount
- Campaign 2: Display priority 100
- Creative B: Display position: lower tier right/display condition: Out operation
- Campaign 3: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Immediately
- Campaign 4: Display priority 10
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Immediately
The campaign with the higher display priority is the display candidate
Because there are multiple campaigns whose display position is set to “Middle tier center”, the display candidate is selected according to display priority.
When the display position is on one screen in the same campaign, the high display priority campaign is the display candidate.
- Campaign 1: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Scroll amount
- Campaign 2: Display priority 100
- Creative B: Display position: lower tier right/display condition: Out operation
- Campaign 3: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Immediately
Therefore, campaign 4 is excluded. Because there is no display position overlap in campaign 2, the trigger causes campaign 2 creative B to be displayed lower tier right.
When there are multiple items with the same display priority, a random campaign is selected from among them
If there are multiple campaigns with the same display priority, one of the remaining campaigns is chosen at random as a candidate. In this example, campaign 1 and campaign 3 apply. In this instance, campaign 1 was selected.
- Campaign 1: Display priority 100
- Creative A: Display position: middle tier center/display condition: Scroll amount
- Campaign 2: Display priority 100
- Creative B: Display position: lower tier right/display condition: Out operation
The display candidates for this screen are campaign 1 and creative B from campaign 2.
How is a creative actually displayed?
The trigger conditions set in the creative must be met in order to display the creative.
Campaign 1 selected in middle tier center is not displayed until it meets the scroll amount trigger condition. Also campaign 3 creative A with the same display priority meets the “Immediately” condition, but is not displayed because it was not pre-selected at random.
Count in the report
All selected creatives based on AB test candidate selection and priority level are counted in the report only if they meet the display trigger.
