Is it possible to darken the background or turn it gray, etc., when displaying a creative?

Yes, it is. You can set the background color and opacity of creatives displayed on CODE Marketing cloud.

How to set the background color and opacity

The background color and opacity can be changed in the Creative Tool.

Select the “Display tab” > “Widget background” > “Set the background color (modal)”.

What happens when changing “Set the background color”

After specifying the background color, the creative is displayed in modal. When displaying a creative in modal, the background screen cannot be controlled until the user closes the creative.

Using modal can make the user more aware of the creative.

On the other hand, because user controls are limited until the creative is closed, caution is required when using modal.
