There are five types of traffic sources for traffic source condition “Traffic source type”. This section explains the specific details of each traffic source. (Each is set based on Google Analytics traffic sources.)

Direct traffic

This indicates that there is no referrer page or the session is unknown. For example, the following cases are regarded as “direct traffic”.

  • Indicates a site visit via URL directly input to browser, visit from a bookmark, visit from an app, etc.

Traffic from a search engine

Indicates session from search engines such as Google, Yahoo!, Bing, AOL, Ask.jp, Baidu, Yandex, etc.

Traffic from advertisements

Conforms to Google Analytics identification logic, indicating a session with any of the following values appended to “utm_medium”: “cpc”, “ppc”, “cpa”, “cpm”, “cpv”, “cpp”.

Traffic from social media

Indicates a session from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Ameba, etc.

Traffic from other sites

Indicates a session from anything other than the above.
