For end users in an environment where it is not possible to obtain the referrer URL, web customer service operates in the following way on CODE Marketing cloud.

  • For campaigns implemented using “Traffic source type” targeting
  • For campaigns implemented using “Referrer URL” targeting
    • Because the referrer URL cannot be obtained, it is not a match for targeting.
  • For creatives that use a start trigger with a “Not displayed when moving within the same domain” option when “Return” is selected
  • When the referrer URL cannot be obtained, that creative will not be displayed.
